Unavailable:  Shoaib Akhtar  owing to a stress fracture of his ankle. Shoaib also underwent knee surgery in Melbourne putting him out of action for eight weeks.

 

24 names were announced on 1 March 2006 to attend a conditioning camp held at Lahore starting on 8 March in preparation for the tour. Not chosen from the camp :   Mohammad Sami, Bazid Khan, Rafatullah Mohmand, Mohammad Irshad, Sarfraz Ahmad, Asim Kamal.

Return to Pakistan

 

Tahir Khan and Abdur Rehman returned to Pakistan after the ODI series without playing in a match.

Naved-ul-Hasan returned home to Pakistan on 27 March because his wife was ill.

The team flew back from Colombo to Karachi on 8 April 2006.
