in April (?) but, anticipating that he would not be chosen for the tour
party, Dias took a coaching engagement in Holland to protect his financial future.

Sri Lanka London Q Colombo | The team met the Sri Lankan
High Commissioner, Chandra Monarawala, at the Kensington Close Hotel, London, before
departure. Six players stayed back after the end of the tour: Ravi Ratnayeke,
Samarasekera and Kuruppu took a coaching course offered by the National
Coaching Association in Hove. Duleep Mendis, Amal Silva and Aravinda de
Silva also remained in England. The rest returned home on 7 September
1988. They flew from Gatwick Airport
via Dubai and arrived in Colombo at 7.30 next morning. | Time
