Unavailable:  None. Tim May was able to join the tour despite damaging his finger in the fourth Test against West Indies.

Tour Party Announced :  3 February 1993.

Not selected :   Geoff Marsh,  Dean Jones,  Joe Angel.

The selectors announced on 16 March that Tony Dodemaine (Vic)  and Dean Jones (Vic)  would replace McDermott and Langer for the one-day series.

   During the first Test Allan Border became the leading run-scorer in Tests, surpassing Sunil Gavaskar’s record

Langer and McDermott (who needed to rest a recurring groin injury)  were not required after the end of the Test series and returned home on 17 March.

The team flew home from Auckland  on Monday 29 March 1993

The 17-man party to tour England would be announced on the following Friday.
