| Tour of
New Zealand 2006-07 Captain: Mahela Jayawardene | | | | | © Test Cricket Tours | | | Sri Lanka’s 39th Test tour (Nov
2006 - Jan 2007) Sixth
official Test-playing tour of New Zealand
by Sri Lanka (previous
tour 2004-05) | The
results on this tour could not have been more even; all the series played
were left deadlocked. Firstly, the
Test series ended 1-1 as Sri Lanka
lost with two days to spare at Christchurch but
then fought back, through tremendous innings of 150 by both Sangakkara and Silva,
to win at Wellington. After
also sharing the T20 series one-all, the one-day international series was
left undecided at 2-2 because the fifth match was abandoned because of rain. The Sri
Lankans played attractive cricket and were a popular draw wherever they went. | Other
