There was only one Test match on this tour, after a Twenty20 and three ODIs. 

Bangladesh scored its highest total against New Zealand (408) featuring a maiden century from Mahmudullah. However, New Zealand knocked off the runs required to win the Test match by five wickets.

Unavailable  : Mashrafe Mortaza (he asked not to be considered as captain or for the Test match).

Tour Party Announced  :  27 January 2010.

Not selected:  Enamul Haque jr,  Mahbubul Alam,  Shahriar Nafees.

Withdrawal:  Mashrafee Mortaza withdrew from the tour completely on 31 January because of fever, and a fortnight later he went to Australia for further treatment on his knee injuries.

   Bangladesh slumped to the sixth lowest total in T20 internationals, when they were all out for 78 at  Hamilton  

   Imrul Kayes completed his maiden ODI century at Christchurch.

   Shakib al Hasan (87) and Mahmuddullah (115) shared a partnership of 145 runs in the Test match at Hamilton.

   Bangladesh scored its highest Test total against New Zealand: 408.
