There was only one Test match on this tour, after a Twenty20 and three ODIs. 

Bangladesh scored its highest total against New Zealand (408) featuring a maiden century from Mahmudullah. However, New Zealand knocked off the runs required to win the Test match by five wickets.

Not selected:  Enamul Haque jr,  Mahbubul Alam,  Shahriar Nafees.

Withdrawal:  Mashrafee Mortaza withdrew from the tour completely on 31 January because of fever, and a fortnight later he went to Australia for further treatment on his knee injuries.

•   Bangladesh slumped to the sixth lowest total in T20 internationals, when they were all out for 78 at  Hamilton  

•   Imrul Kayes completed his maiden ODI century at Christchurch.

•   Shakib al Hasan (87) and Mahmuddullah (115) shared a partnership of 145 runs in the Test match at Hamilton.

•   Bangladesh scored its highest Test total against New Zealand: 408.
