Twentieth Test-playing tour of England by West Indies
(May – June
2012)
The West Indies,
visiting England
in the cold weather of early spring, as in 2007 and 2009, loaded their
bowling attack with seam bowlers to suit the green pitches they expected to
meet.
Denesh
Ramdin, the wicket-keeper, was fined 20% of his match fee for making a
gesture after reaching his century at Edgbaston. He displayed a message saying
"Yea Viv, talk nah" directed at Viv Richards who made criticisms of
him.

players.
Marlon Samuels arrived in London on
Tuesday 8 May from Indiawhere he had been playing for Pune
Warriors in the Indian Premier League.
Narsingh Deonarine and Assad Fudadin were held up in Jamaica through having to apply to the UK embassy
for the correct visas. Fudaddin did not join the squad until Wednesday 9 and
Deonarine on Thursday 10 May.
