Indian players took part in an intensive week-long preparation camp at the
High Performance Centre in Barbados
before the following team flew out of Grantley Adams
Airport, Barbados,
on 19 September for the short T20 series against England : Darren
Sammy (captain), Christopher Barnwell, Miles Bascombe, Devendra Bishoo,
Nkrumah Bonner, Johnson Charles, Derwin Christian (wicketkeeper), Fidel
Edwards, Danza Hyatt, Garey Mathurin (replacing Ashley Nurse for fitness
reasons), Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Krishmar Santokie, Dwayne Smith. The Sagicor
High Performance Centre team had also left Barbados
for Dubai on
19 September, including Kieran Powell. Most of
the players on the England
trip then returned to the Caribbean, but Sammy, Samuels, Bishoo, Fidel
Edwards, Hyatt and Russell left London on 26
September for Dubai,
where they met up with other players. Nkrumah Bonner, a member of the West
Indies T20 squad to England,
flew with them to join the Sagicor HPC squad in Dubai. There was a week-long training camp
training camp at the ICC Global Cricket
Academy in Dubai, including three practice matches. Sammy and the rest of the West Indies side (minus five players
taking part in the Champions League Twenty20 with Trinidad & Tobago)
arrived at the Hazrat Shahjalal International
Airport in the Bangladesh capital, Dhaka,
on Tuesday 4 October. For the
one-day series in India,
