Tenth Test-playing tour by the Australians against Pakistan.

 

 

(June - July 2010)

 

 

Including matches at home, Australia was unbeaten in Tests through the 2009-10 season, achieving seven wins from the eight Tests,  and winning all three seriesthey contested. They had turned around the poor results from 2008-09 and looked forward to this tour optimistically.

Withdrawn:  Brad Haddin - he dropped out of the limited overs squad with an elbow injury on 5 June and could not recover in time for the Test tour, withdrawing in favour of Tim Paine the day after his selection.

Mitchell Johnson withdrew from the one-day internationals squad on 10 June and 19 year-old Josh Hazlewood was added to the squad.

Clint McKay joined the tour squad on 18 July as cover for Ben Hilfenhaus who hurt his left shoulder fielding in the first Test. McKay was part of the limited-overs squad and had since then been playing for Yorkshire.

 

Josh Hazlewood, Steve O’Keefe and Shaun Tait were added to the original one-day internationals squad to play England, while Doug Bollinger, James Hopes and Steve O’Keefe were added to the T20 squad against Pakistan in place of Ryan Harris, Dan Christian (calf injury) and Nathan Hauritz respectively.
