Tenth Test-playing tour of Australia by South Africa

 

 

 (October - December 2011)

 

 

South Africa went to Australia as the number one Test team after beating England 2-0. The Proteas had not lost an away series since 2006 in Sri Lanka

played a Test match at the Brisbane Gabba for the first time since 1963-64.

J P Duminy snapped his achilees tendon doing fitness work on 8 November so Dean Elgar was added to the squad. He joined the team on 14 November while Duminy returned home to South Africa on 17 November.
