Test Cricket Tours - Bangladesh to Zimbabwe 2012-13

Tour of Zimbabwe 2012-13                  Captain : Mushfiqur Rahim

Bangladesh’s twentieth Test tour.

   (April - May 2013)

Fourth Test-playing tour of Zimbabwe by Bangladesh

   (previous tour 2011)

The tour had to be re-scheduled from August 2012 because of ground work to be done at the Harare Sports Club and Queens Club, where the matches would be played.

Only international matches were on the itinerary. The Bangladesh Board declined a warm-up match offer ahead of their two-Test series against Zimbabwe, although previously Bangladesh complained on the 2011 tour that they had not been given enough time to attune to local conditions before the Tests.Bangladesh then had to cancel their official training session owing to a general strike in Bangladesh but five days of training were arranged in Harare ahead of the first Test.

Shahadat Hossain (who had a knee injury), Shahriar Nafees and Enamul Haque Jr left Harare for Dhaka on Saturday evening 27 April 2013. Rubel Hossain contracted chicken pox, and had to withdraw from the limited-overs part of the tour. He could not be sent home because the disease is contagious but travelled back a week later.
