The team management requested that Abdur Razzaq should be added to the Test squad and he joined the team on Monday 11 March.

Shahadat Hossain left for Sri Lanka on 23 March as a replacement for injured seamer Nazmul Hossain. Shahadat, who was in Bangladesh’s Test squad for the series against Sri Lanka, had gone back to Bangladesh on March 21 following the end of the second Test.

Nazmul’s injury, which took place during a training session in Sri Lanka on March 20 meant that Shahadat would have to go back just two days after his return.

Shamsur Rahman replaced Tamim Iqbal who was ruled out of the remainder of the tour after he injured his right thumb while fielding during the first one-day international in Hambantota.
