| 66th West Indies Test
tour Eleventh Test-playing tour of India by West Indies (October -
November 2013) | This
tour, not part of the ICC Future Tours Programme, was arranged at a very late
stage to provide some international cricket at home in India’s 2013-14 season. It also
gave the BCCI opportunities to raise revenue, which otherwise would have been
restricted to the one-day series against Australia in October. The WICB
only confirmed the tour on Tuesday 3 September. Sachin Tendulkar announced
his impending retirement so Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium was nominated as a
fitting venue for his farewell, which was also his 200th Test appearance. P A G E I
